After breakfast, we journey towards the majestic Rif Mountains, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views en route to Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, the afternoon is free for you to explore the beautiful blue-and-white city at your own pace. You will spend the night in a local Riad or hotel, immersing yourself in the city’s tranquil atmosphere.
This morning, we depart for Fes. Our route winds through charming mountain villages to our first stop: Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. We then continue to the imperial city of Meknes to visit the famous Bab el-Mansour gate and the Moulay Ismail tombs. After lunch, we complete our journey to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad within the medina.
Today, an expert local guide will lead you through Fes, Morocco’s oldest cultural capital. You will stroll through its intricate alleys, visiting landmarks such as the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish quarter (Mellah), and Al-Qarawiyyin University. You will also see the famous Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum before returning to your Riad.

We first pass through Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before driving through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, home to Barbary macaques. After a lunch stop in Midelt, we continue through the lush Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga in the evening. You’ll check into a hotel near the breathtaking dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Explore the fascinating Merzouga region today. We will visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music and meet nomadic families to learn about their authentic lifestyle. After a traditional Berber pizza for lunch, you will begin your guided camel trek into the desert. A 90-minute ride takes you to a Berber camp where you’ll watch a stunning sunset, enjoy dinner, and gaze at the brilliant stars.
Your camel guide will wake you early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast back at your Riad, we depart for the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Following lunch within the canyon, we drive through the picturesque Dades Valley to see its majestic sand castles and unique “monkey fingers” rock formations. We will spend the night in a traditional guesthouse with dinner included.
Our journey continues towards Marrakech with a pivotal stop at the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous backdrop for films like Gladiator. After exploring this fortified village, we will ascend the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass. By late afternoon, we arrive in the vibrant “Red City” of Marrakech and settle into your Riad for the night.
Today is a refreshing day trip to the Atlantic coast. We travel to the charming, windswept city of Essaouira, known for its bohemian soul and UNESCO-listed medina. You’ll have time to walk the ancient sea ramparts, watch the blue boats in the bustling fishing harbor, and explore the artisan shops. In the evening, we return to the vibrant energy of Marrakech.
A full day is dedicated to immersing yourself in the magic of Marrakech. A guided tour will lead you through the city’s heart, starting with the electric atmosphere of Djemaa el-Fna square. We will then delve into the labyrinthine souks, visit the opulent Bahia Palace, discover the historic Saadian Tombs, and admire the iconic Koutoubia Mosque.
Our journey turns north as we head for Morocco’s capital. Along the way, we will stop in Casablanca to marvel at the Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece sitting dramatically on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. After our visit, we will continue to the elegant city of Rabat for our overnight stay.
After breakfast, we explore the highlights of Rabat, including the historic Kasbah of the Udayas and the grand Hassan Tower. We then continue up the coast to Asilah, a beautiful, white-washed seaside town famous for its art-filled medina. After a short visit, we will complete our circuit, arriving back in Tangier where your unforgettable adventure concludes with a transfer to the port or airport.
