Today is yours to explore the enchanting city of Chefchaouen. Known as the “Blue Pearl,” its medina features a Spanish-style square surrounded by craft stores, rooftop restaurants, and cafes. Enjoy the day wandering through the beautiful blue and white-washed streets at your own pace. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the same riad.
Departing after breakfast, you’ll travel towards Volubilis, passing through Wazzan and other Rif villages. At the UNESCO World Heritage site of Volubilis, you will explore the impressive Roman ruins. Afterwards, continue to the imperial city of Meknes to see the grand Bab Mansour gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and Dar El Makhzen palace. You’ll spend the night in a beautiful local riad.
After breakfast, a short drive brings you to Fes, Morocco’s oldest city. A guided tour will lead you through its narrow streets to the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish Quarter, and the 16th-century Mellah. After breakfast, you will set off towards the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate. Today’s highlight is the magnificent Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After lunch at the kasbah, you will cross the stunning Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the evening to check into your beautiful riad.
Today you will discover the “Southern Pearl” of Morocco with a guided tour of Marrakech. You will explore the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, the tour continues with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna square. The day concludes with an exploration of the souk, a maze of stalls filled with spices, carpets, and countless other Moroccan treasures.
The vibrant energy of Marrakech gives way to the tranquil coastal beauty of Essaouira. This ancient citadel on the Atlantic coast, whose name means “wall” in Berber, is a haven for travelers seeking ocean breezes and a unique history. Settle into your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
Enjoy a full day at your leisure in Essaouira. Wander the ancient streets with their distinct Portuguese feel, dine on fresh seafood at a local restaurant, walk along the beach, or simply relax and watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner and accommodation will be at the same hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic coastal drive back to Casablanca. Upon arrival, you will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque and see the famous Rick’s Cafe. You will spend your final night in a comfortable hotel in the city.
